Back in December 2019, PT Monthly featured a profile of our very own Mike O'Sullivan!

From Small Beginnings

Back in 1989 when I first started learning how to teach swimming, I had no idea that it would lead me to a career in fitness and health, I just loved sport!

What it takes to be a Personal Trainer

Over the last 30 years I've certainly learned a few things about people, health and of course fitness. A fitter body can help with your mental health as well as making you physically more able to deal with the challenges of modern living. I've gained a list of qualifications that span everything from swimming to circuit training, kettlebells to body pump, cycling to trekking; I'm also an Active IQ Lecturer and Assessor! This means that I provide all my clients with a complete assessment and training plan that suits their individual requirements.

Who I work with

Fitness is more than just working out, its about eating right and looking after yourself. Weight loss or gain is usually the primary focus for my clients. I like working with people and seeing them achieve their goals. It's incredibly rewarding to see someone who at that first consultation had little or no energy, tired from the stresses of daily life, working long hours, looking after children or even rehabilitating after injury or illness; develop into a fitter, more energised and able individual challenge themselves harder, push further and achieve their goals.
